Summer schedules are now published. Please click on the correct tab above to see a specific activity.

Some reminders:

On the first night of your activity a parent must be present to sign the waiver and pay the fee.  No child will be allowed to participate until that waiver is signed! No exceptions!

- Each player should, at the very least, have their own glove.

- Each player is strongly encouraged to have their own bat and helmet this summer as any of those items that are shared must be disinfected between each use.

- Baseball pants (or sweatpants) are encouraged if your child likes to slide.  Sliding on baseball sand with shorts will lead to cuts on the legs.

- For T-Ball and Coach Pitch, please wear the provided shirt (given out the first night).  If that is dirty, please wear the same color shirt as the rest of your team.

- Sunscreen is important and will not be offered by Summer Rec, so apply before coming.

- Sanitizer bottles will be offered in the dugouts. Players must sanitize before and after each practice.

- NO sunflower seeds or gum.

- Each player needs their own water bottle and it needs to have their name on it. No sharing of water bottles will be allowed.

- There will be no public restrooms open at any of the fields.  Make sure to use this before coming to your activity.

- If you ever feel sick, or have been exposed to someone that has been diagnosed with Coronavirus, STAY HOME and follow proper CDC guidelines.

- Parents/fans must follow proper social distancing guidelines.

- Please have your children stay away from the dugout until it has been cleared by the previous group (if you are the second activity).

- Any weather related cancellations throughout the summer will be posted on the Summer Rec website as soon as we have made a decision.

We look forward to a fun summer of ball!

Hayfield Summer Program (Summer Rec)

The Hayfield Baseball Association will be taking over running Summer Recreation for the summer of 2020.  Coaches Kasey Krekling and Tom Dublin, with the help of their high school baseball players, will be running the youth baseball programs.  At this time we are offering T-Ball, Coach Pitch, 3rd-4th grade baseball, and 5th-6th grade baseball.  We have no camps or trips planned, but that may change later in the summer if CDC guidelines change.

All activities will be following CDC guidelines.  At this time we will be keeping in small groups and using different parts of the field to run through stations. When the time is appropriate, we will add in games. Hand sanitizer will be available in the dugouts and wipes will be used to wipe off bat handles that are used by more than one player. Players will not be allowed to chew sunflower seeds or gum as both cause players to spit.  Each player will need their own water bottle as sharing will not be allowed.  Lastly, public restrooms will not be available.  Families need to make sure to use their own restroom before coming to the field.

See the activities offered below. To sign-up your son/daughter you will need to e-mail Kasey Krekling at kreklka@hayfield.k12.mn.us  by SUNDAY, JUNE 7TH!

The information that will need to be e-mailed is:  Student’s name, Grade during 2019-20 school year, Parent/Guardian names, Emergency Contact (cell and e-mail), and T-shirt size.

Payment and Waiver Forms will be collected on the first night of activities.  No player will be allowed to participate until the waiver and fees are turned in. (Waivers will be passed out at the first night so a parent/guardian will need to be present)

We plan to start these activities the week of June 14th and run them through the end of July.  Schedules will be released by Thursday, June 11th.   Schedules will be e-mailed out and we will also be using www.hayfieldsummerrec.yolasite.com for announcements throughout the summer.
